Lease agreement (Lithuania)
A lease agreement for renting a flat or a house to a person who will live in it. It records who rents what, for how long and for how much, and what each side looks after. Both of you sign the same file.
Who signs
- The landlord
- The tenant
What you fill in
- Both parties — names, personal codes or company registration numbers, and addresses
- The property — its address and what comes with it: furniture, parking, storage
- The rent — the amount per month and the day it is paid
- The deposit — how much, and how and when it is returned
- The start date — and whether the lease is for a fixed time or open-ended
- Utilities — who pays for electricity, heating, water, internet and the building’s costs
- The notice period — how long in advance either side says it is ending the lease
